Reminders that actually get sent
SMS and email reminders go out automatically 48 hours and 2 hours before every lesson. Your monthly credit allowance covers most instructors comfortably, and you can top up any time if you need more.
Online payments, no surprises
Stripe-powered payments let students pay deposits and lesson packages online. We charge a 2% platform fee only when a payment is made, nothing when a lesson is booked or cancelled.

Common questions
Is there a free plan?
Free is a marketplace listing so students searching in your area can find you — nothing more. Your diary, students, booking, progress tracking and reminders live on Pro at £10 a month. If a subscription ever lapses, the account drops to the Free listing rather than losing access altogether.
What is founding-member pricing?
The first 10 instructors to subscribe to Pro lock £5 a month for as long as they stay subscribed, so their price never rises, and get a founding-member badge on their listing. We are new and building a track record, so early instructors get a permanently better deal.
When am I charged?
At signup. You add a card, your first month is taken there and then, and it renews monthly. There is no free trial at the moment because the founding rate is running instead — you get the locked price rather than a free month, not both. Cancel any time from your billing settings and you keep your Free marketplace listing.
Do I need a credit card to start?
Yes. You add a card at signup and your first month is charged straight away. Cancel any time and you will not be billed again.
Is DriveInstruct free for PDIs?
Yes. PDIs (trainee driving instructors) get the core diary, students, booking, reminders and progress portal free while they train — no card, no payment. Marketplace listings and Stripe payments unlock when you qualify as an ADI and upgrade to Pro.
What are messaging credits?
Each SMS or email reminder uses a credit from your monthly allowance. Pro gets 100 SMS + 200 emails. School gets 500 SMS + 1,000 emails. You can top up any time from your dashboard.
What is the 2% Stripe platform fee?
When a student pays you online through DriveInstruct on the Pro or School plan, we take 2% of the transaction. There is no fee on cash lessons, and the 2% only applies when you actually receive a payment.
Can I switch plans?
Yes, at any time. Move between Pro and School from your billing settings, or switch to the Free listing if you want to pause paid features — your data stays put either way.
Is there a per-instructor fee on the School plan?
No. School is a flat £49 a month for up to 10 instructors, with no per-seat charges on top.
